The Beginning

I was born in Damascus, Syria. The oldest capital in the world. I studied engineering, fell in love with graphic design, and built my first business before I even knew the word "entrepreneur" existed.

That business led to an acqui-hire by the Disney of the Middle East. Which led to Dubai. I helped them build 10 companies internally. Then I went out on my own, built a content agency, and ended up working with some of the most prestigious brands and agencies in the world. Burj Khalifa. Saadiyat Island. The kind of projects where you learn fast because the stakes are real.

In Dubai, I also led the number one BNI chapter in the country. 80+ members. Won three awards including a global one from BNI and the Pan Arab Excellence Awards. I was building something real.

Then the Syrian Civil War started. Dubai became complicated. My wife and I made the decision to start over. Again. This time in Vancouver.

Starting from Zero

I arrived in Canada with 2,000 LinkedIn connections. All in the Middle East. Zero in Vancouver. I couldn't find a job for six months. My brand, my reputation, my network, none of it traveled with me.

So I reached out to 6,000 people on LinkedIn in three months. Asked for nothing but coffee. Built a community one conversation at a time.

That led to Launch Academy, where I became General Manager and Head Mentor. I educated and mentored over 6,500 founders. They collectively raised over $2.5B. Hundreds of companies advanced to Seed or Series A. I raised over $5M myself and exited two startups along the way.

Twenty-two businesses across three countries. I helped Spacetoon, the Disney of the Middle East, build eleven of them. I've started my own from scratch more times than I can count. I've helped hundreds of founders start and launch their companies, supported thousands more along the way, and worked with some of the biggest brands in the world to do the same. I took every opportunity head on.

What I Do Now

I left Syria because there was nothing left. I built in Dubai because that's where the opportunity was. I rebuilt in Vancouver at forty with a young family and a new community to build in from scratch.

I know what transition looks like when the stakes are real. When there are people counting on you. When starting over isn't something you chose from a position of comfort.

Today, I help people navigate the same thing. Transition. The real kind. Where the old identity doesn't fit anymore, the path forward isn't clear, and everyone around you is offering advice that doesn't apply to your actual situation.

I bring 25 years of building, mentoring, failing, and starting over. I will tell you what I see. That's the deal.

I write about this through The Streetlight, my Substack publication. I wrote about it in The Dark Art of Life Mastery, which became an Amazon bestseller. And I do it 1-on-1 with people who are ready for the next chapter.

The Personal

I live in Vancouver with my partner Rama, our kids Zain and Julie, and two cats who ignore me.

Success, for me, has always looked like the same thing: watching someone figure out what they already knew.

If you're in the middle of something and you want to talk to someone who gets it, I'm here.
